Vice President Kamala Harris challenged her 2024 opponent former President Donald Trump take a cognitive test, saying that she will also pass the exam.

Trump encouraged Harris to “take a test of cognitive endurance and agility” in a post on Truth Social earlier this month. Then he claimed that “she is slow and sluggish in answering even the simplest questions.”

Harris responded in an interview over the weekend.

“That’s what he’s resorted to, and I think what he’s actually doing is becoming increasingly unstable and frustrated and resorting to name-calling because he doesn’t really have a plan for the American people,” Harris told the CBS host Norah O’Donnell, while campaigning in Kalamazoo, Michigan, agrees to take the exam and encourages Trump to take the same exam.

In an interview published Monday, Harris said Trump was “unfit” for second term in the White Housepointing to criticism from his former allies.

“Don’t take it from me, listen to the people who know him best,” Harris said. “His former chiefs of staff. Most recently 4-star Marine General John Kelly. Listen to the two former secretaries of defense who worked for him, listen to his national security adviser, listen to his vice president, who everyone, one way or another, said he was no longer fit to be president and should never be president again. and it’s dangerous.”

Kelly, former Trump White House chief of staff, told the New York Times last week that he believes Trump has no understanding of the Constitution or the rule of law—and that the 2024 presidential candidate fits the bill for a fascist. Trump and his aides have denied the allegations. called Kelly a disgruntled employee.
