How Todd Chrisley is reportedly feeling after being fired from his job at the prison chapel.

Todd Chrisley has been in prison for over a year because of his verdict finding the bank guilty of fraudwhich was given to him, his wife Julie and their accountant Peter Tarantino. Reports and rumors have been circulating around Todd’s time behind bars since he went to prison in early 2023. During his tenure, it was confirmed that he had found a job in his institution’s chapel, but it appears that he has now formally lost that position. After one of his lawyers, Jay Surgent, broke the news, the lawyer also shared how his client allegedly felt about losing his job.

In early January 2023, Todd Chrisley reported to a federal prison camp in Pensacola, Florida. For most of this time the former Chrisley knows best Star served as an assistant chaplain at the institution. News of Chrisley’s firing broke a few days ago, and while speaking with TODAYJay Surgent said the father of five was “disappointed and emotionally hurt” by the loss of his position. The lawyer also said the job was a “big part” of Chrisley’s life and gave him “the opportunity to be involved in his faith and help other people with their faith.”

As for why this all happened, Mr. Surgent believes it could be explained by the Chrisley patriarch “associating with people who were accepted” into the prison’s drug abuse program. However, Surgent said Chrisley “always represented to the administration” how he “did an exemplary job in his position,” which reportedly allowed him to interact with many inmates. In 2022, Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years in prison for financial crimes, and Julie Chrisley he was ordered to serve seven years at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. By November 2023 Mr and Mrs Chrisley’s sentences were commuted for two years and 14 months respectively. During this time, they tried to appeal their case, and their oral arguments were heard in April this year. A federal appeals court in Atlanta ruled that Todd’s sentence would stand, although Julie’s was overturned. This was due to a ruling that there was insufficient evidence to establish that she had knowledge of the offences. However, upon resentencing, Julie’s original seven years’ sentence was reinstated. much to Todd’s disdain.

The couple’s daughter, Savannah Chrisley, is defending their interests, arguing that they lived in poor conditions in prison, including a lack of air conditioning. Through your lawyer Todd said the food in prison is poor quality and not worthy of consumption. Savannah even claimed her mother found the snakes in her cell. (Many claims have been denied by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.)

Although Todd Chrisley was reportedly not happy behind bars, his daughter Lindsay stated that both he and his wife were was “welcomed with open arms.” According to a report that appeared over a year ago, Chrisley also believed there was a good reason for this. why he was sent to prison.
