Three decisive maneuvers by Motta that brought Juventus a point in the match against Inter

Thiago Motta looked to be facing his first Serie A defeat as Juventus manager on Sunday night but somehow managed to escape unscathed, coming back to score. Draw 4:4 against Inter at San Siro.

Kenan Yildiz was left out of the starting lineup but was still able to do damage after his second-period appearance. The Bianconeri trailed by two goals but the teenager scored a brace to end a thrilling contest 4-4.

According to IlBianconeroMotta deserves credit as his second-half moves turned the tide in the old lady’s favour. The report mentions three tricks that worked almost perfectly.

The first was the replacement of Timothy Weah with Yildiz. Although the Turkish youngster’s arrival was a no-brainer at the time, the American’s removal raised some eyebrows as the latter put in a great performance and even scored Juventus’ second goal.

So while Motta could have used Yildiz as an attacking midfielder, he insisted on putting the teenager on the left flank, which produced two invaluable goals.

The second move was the introduction of Nicola Savona, which left many bewildered as the young right-back was unlikely to make it in attack at a time when the team was desperate for goals.

However, Savona’s exit freed up Andrea Cambiaso, who was given license to move forward. The latter played an important role in the final score.

Last but not least, Dušan Vlahović’s departure was certainly a controversial decision as Juventus were trailing, but Samuel Mbangula’s departure meant that the Inter defenders no longer had any fixed points to score from.

The young Belgian roamed all over the attacking line and although he didn’t score, his movement and energy caused some confusion for Stefan de Vrij and co in defence.
