A man is hospitalized, two suspects are in custody after shootings near schools in Prince George’s County.

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Maryland (DC News Now) — Prince George’s County police say two suspects were taken into custody after a man was injured in shootings near two schools Tuesday morning.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said officers responded to the 7000 block of Allentown Road around 9:40 a.m. for a shooting. It is near Crossland High School and Thurgood Marshall High School and adjacent to the Woodberry Plaza shopping center.

At the scene, police found a man shot to death.

Police said he was taken to hospital in critical but stable condition.

During the investigation, police took two suspects into custody. Police said they are still looking for a third suspect.

While officers investigated, Crossland High School and Thurgood Marshall High School were placed on lockdown as a precaution. Police have since said the restrictions have been lifted.
