Spring Hill, Florida.Deputies are chasing Spring Hill A man caught the suspect after he crashed into a telephone pole while running away from a car filled with drugs, according to police. Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

When Scott Schwirian, 39, and Heidi Reynolds, 36, were stopped by officers in the Toucan Trail area of ​​Spring Hill nearly two weeks ago, detectives said they saw a rolled cigar containing a green leafy substance they identified as marijuana.

According to HCSO, they also found a pill box labeled “Xanax” that contained 11 alprazolam pills and two separate baggies with fentanyl residue inside.

Officers removed Schwirian from the driver’s seat and an unidentified passenger from the passenger seat.

The back seat passenger, later identified as Reynolds, refused to give detectives her name, identification or get out of the vehicle, deputies said.

After several attempts to get her to voluntarily leave the car, Reynolds was taken out and handcuffed.

Police say during a search of the vehicle they found three syringes filled with a clear liquid that later tested positive for methamphetamine. They also found a black container containing four more marijuana cigarettes.

Also inside the vehicle were a blue backpack and a locked brown safe, according to HCSO.

When deputies tried to arrest Schwirian, they said he fled but didn’t get far. Deputies say Shviryan drove straight into a telephone pole and was immediately taken into custody.

After obtaining a search warrant for the safe on Oct. 25, detectives found several used syringes, new plastic bags, cut straws with residue, a digital scale, two separate bags containing a green leafy substance and six separate bags containing 40.5 grams of the substance. a crystal-like substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine.

Schwirian was charged with resisting an officer with violence, possession of methamphetamine, fentanyl, alprazolam and marijuana. His bond was set at $27,000.

Reynolds was arrested on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and resisting an officer without violence. Because of the human trafficking charge, Reynolds was initially held without bail.
