Scarlett Johansson assembles the Avengers to fight Donald Trump

“How am I feeling? Oh God, I don’t know. Scarlett Johansson speaks during a recent call with Vanity Fair. “This is a difficult question.” Just a few days before Kamala Harris resist Donald Trump On Election Day, the stars are really just like us – eagerly awaiting the results of the vote. 2024 presidential race.

“I’m cautiously optimistic, whatever that means,” she adds with a laugh. “I hope people will remember to vote, stay calm and get involved. “I feel like if people vote, we’ll be in good shape.”

In a text message, she reminded her fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe alums, “We have a lot of influencers on this topic and it would be great to come together to create something of a viral moment for Kamala.”

The result of this call to action is a new video, Get Out the Video, featuring Johansson. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle, Danai GuriraAnd Paul Bettany which debuts exclusively with Vanity Fair. “I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so many immediate responses from these people,” she says. VF. “Normally people come, but the group was immediately excited about it.”

Coordinating the schedules of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars hasn’t been easy. “Everyone is so busy and crazy distracted,” she says. “Chris is filming a film in Bulgaria. Robert is currently on Broadway. Mark is acting in films. Danae is campaigning in Atlanta. Don, I don’t know, probably on a golf course somewhere,” she jokes. “I was in the Grand Canyon. Somehow we managed to get everyone on Zoom at the same time, which was crazy and fun.”

Although Shazam‘s Zachary Levi recently transmitted For Trump’s closest allies, called the Avengers, the real squad is supporting Harris. In the video, they try to come up with a catchy catchphrase for the current Vice President using moments from their films, including Iron Man And Black Panther. “This immediately led to people trying to screw each other over with one-liners,” Johansson says. “Robert and Mark fight like two old ladies. And, of course, I’m the person who’s just trying to organize everyone. It’s very similar to our dynamic in the movies. It was wonderful to feel everyone rally around him and hopefully it will get our fans involved in the voting process.”
