Los Tigres del Norte will perform at the Kamala Harris Phoenix Rally: watch

Los Tigres del Norteconsidered La Voz del Pueblo (or the voice of the Pueblo) by fans for decades, is set to speak at Kamala Harris’ campaign rally in Phoenix on Thursday (Oct. 31).

This appearance is consistent with the Mexican group’s continued support for Democratic candidates during the US presidential election. Los Tigres have supported Hillary Clinton (2016) and Joe Biden (2020) in the past and have used their platform to encourage Latinos to get out and vote. An estimated 36.2 million Latinos are eligible to vote this year, up from 32.3 million in 2020, according to Pew Research Center.

Members of Los Tigres officially announced their support for Vice President Kamala Harris in July after President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race. “Now we can realize the dream that we all want, and that it will be chosen in this case for different reasons,” Jorge Hernández, leader and lead singer of the norteño group, said Billboard at that time. “We invite you to vote, those who can vote, and make your own decision. We will fight at all times to continue to convey to the entire nation the great importance of voting.”

The Phoenix rally will take place at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater, which seats about 20,000 people. Harris is expected to speak at the event, which takes place just five days before Election Day on Tuesday (Nov. 5). The presidential candidate will then head to Las Vegas for a second rally, where Jennifer Lopez will perform and Mexican rock band Maná will perform. Both events are part of the Harris-Walz ticket’s “When We Vote We Win” series of concerts and rallies. The series of events continues on Friday (November 1) when Cardi B performs and GloRilla performs at a rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
