Manchester United parted ways with Erik ten Hag this week, closing the club’s branch. The focus now shifts to which players will be key to the Red Devils’ future.

Meanwhile, TEAMTalk reported this month that Paris Saint-Germain have renewed their interest in Marcus Rashford.. While the obstacles that prevented a summer move still exist, the Ligue 1 club is said to be considering a potential transfer next year.

Rashford will now play under a new coach and Ruben Amorim is expected to take his place. after reportedly agreeing to join United. One expert believes this could be the striker’s last chance to secure his place at the club.

“It was time for a decisive or turning point for Marcus. Really there is,” said Ellie McCoist on talkSPORT. “You can talk about coaches coming in, be it (Jose) Mourinho, (Louis) van Gaal, Ole (Gunnar Solskjaer) or Ten Hag.

“Don’t pay attention to the coach, just go and play, go and achieve the level of play yourself. If he asks you to do a job, go do it.”

Former Everton boss Keith Wyness believes Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, who he says is “very unhappy”, can turn over a new leaf under Ruben Amorim. Wyness stresses that the 39-year-old new manager can “treat” the England star better than 54-year-old Erik ten Hag.

“With a new manager you can Fine to see Marcus with a renewed attitude.” Wyness told Football Insider’s Insider Track podcast. “He can Fine get along with the new manager and revive his career. He only recently scored 30 goals in a season, he is a huge talent. Amorim could bring out the best in himself.

“He did negative sounds for a while, He obviously very dissatisfied. If it’s not about Manchester and his personal life, but about the football side, then he has a chance to change everything.

“I think Amorim might be the right person. He’s only 39, so he can relate to younger players much better than Ten Hag. I think this will be a key factor in motivating this team and getting us flying again.”
