The draw for the second round of the FA Cup will take place this weekend as clubs look to go the distance in football’s oldest competition.

Back in May, it was Manchester United who lifted the famous trophy for the 13th time in their storied history, finishing second behind Arsenal in the list of winners behind stunning Premier League champions and local rivals Manchester City at Wembley.

As always, they will not begin their defense until the third round along with the rest of the Premier League and Championship, with the first and second rounds reserved exclusively for the 48 clubs in the third and fourth tier in addition to the 32 non-league teams that have made it this far moment.

When is the FA Cup second round draw?

The 2024/25 FA Cup Second Round draw will take place on Sunday 3 November 2024 during the BBC First Round Highlights Show.

The proceedings are due to begin at 6.15pm on BBC Two, although the draw itself will not take place until 7.45pm.
