Tips and apps to help you save on early Black Friday sales

PHOENIX (AZFamily)— Buyers, get ready! Black Friday is coming early in the year this year, and many retailers are launching early sales this weekend.

“The time between Black Friday and Christmas is shorter this year, so they need to extend the holiday shopping season by offering sales earlier,” said money-saving mom and budgeting expert Andrea Woroch.

While the first deals may seem good, they may result in some budget-busting expenses.

“A minimum of free delivery will be introduced. You’ll have to spend more to save more, and this can lead to overspending, so be careful when approaching these deals and sales,” Woroch warned.

To help you budget, be like Santa. Make a list and check it twice.

Apps like Christmas Gift Tracker or Santa’s Bag can help. Enter everything you buy and you’ll know when you reach your spending limit.

Use the Flipp app, which collects weekly circulars and offers in one place so you can easily see what’s for sale. You can also set up price tracking alerts using a tool like Karma.
