How to subscribe to Apple Intelligence features in iOS 18.1

One of the biggest features in iOS 18 is Apple Intelligence. However, while iPhone 16 line launched with iOS 18 out of the box, Apple Intelligence was not yet ready. Now latest iOS 18.1 update finally brings these AI capabilities to your compatible iPhone.

Of course, you may have updated and tried to use these Apple Intelligence features, but you can’t seem to get them to work. This is because you need to register for them before they are available to you.

Here’s how to sign up for Apple Intelligence on your eligible iPhone. Remember that Apple Intelligence is only available on iPhone 15 pro, iPhone 15 pro maxand the iPhone 16 line.

How to Join an Apple Intelligence Waitlist on Your iPhone

To get Apple Intelligence, you need to update your iPhone to iOS 18.1. Then do the following:

Step 1: Launch Settings on your iPhone.

Step 2: Choose Apple Intelligence and Siri.

Step 3: Choose Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist.

Step 4: Choose Join the waiting list.

Step 5: Once you are on the waitlist, you will be notified as soon as it is ready.

How to enable Apple Intelligence

Even if you are removed from the waitlist, you will still have to manually enable Apple Intelligence.

Step 1: Launch Settings on your iPhone.

Step 2: Choose Apple Intelligence and Siri.

Step 3: Choose Turn on Apple Intelligence.

Step 4: Choose Continue.

Step 5: Choose Summarize all notification previews if you want, or Not now if you don’t.

Step 6: Choose Continue on the Siri screen.

Step 7: Choose Continue again.

Step 8: Choose Continue on Enter text for Siri screen.

Step 9: Make sure the switch Apple Intelligence set to On. If you change your mind, just turn it off.
