SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Stephen Curry will miss a third straight game for the Golden State Warriors on Saturday in Houston with a left ankle injury, but resumed some drills Friday.

He was re-evaluated earlier in the day and the Warriors’ medical staff determined the NBA’s 3-point leader was making good progress and was cleared to participate, the team said.

Curry is scheduled to be tested again Sunday before Golden State’s game Monday at Washington. He was injured after loss to Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday evening. After Wednesday’s home win over New Orleans, Curry said he was “feeling better” as he left the locker room.

Curry was eliminated for good with 7:55 left in the fourth quarter. loss with a score of 112-104.

He briefly returned to the game at 8:08 and was in a key position being defended by Kris Dunn when he broke away from Dunn toward the baseline and re-injured his ankle when it appeared to roll out. It happened near the Golden State bench, and he limped into the tunnel leading to the locker room.
