Four girls suffered ‘potentially life-changing injuries’ in Brighton fast food restaurant toilet | UK News

Four girls were seriously burned in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant in Brighton.

Emergency services were called at 8.28pm on Thursday, which was also Halloween, to a report of a fire at the Wendy’s restaurant on Western Road. Brighton.

Four 12-year-old girls suffered “potentially life-changing” injuries and were taken to hospital, Sussex Police said.

They remain in serious but stable condition.

Sussex Police and Fire Brigade are still investigating the cause of the incident but said there were no fireworks.

The fire and rescue service said the incident was accidental and no members of the public were at risk.

Three fire engines, aircraft and specialist officers were present.

Police said they would not be releasing further information at this time because they are “sensitive to the injuries of the people involved.”
