KKR General manager Venky Mysore explained that Iyer was first on their list, but the situation did not develop as planned.

Mysore mentioned in interaction with RevSportz“Shreyas Iyer was the first name in our storage list. However, the retention process is not a one-way street. It’s not just about the franchise.
