All Hands on Deck (AHOD) Announces Community Engagement Process

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – All Hands on Deck will begin its community engagement phase with a press conference on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

All hands on deck, campaign to end chronic homelessness in Topeka and Shawnee County by 2030is led by United Way of Kaw Valley and Compassion Strategies.

November is National Homelessness Awareness Month and National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, making it an opportune time for All Hands on Deck to move into the community engagement phase.

The All Hands on Deck campaign to end chronic homelessness by 2030 includes a multi-sector coalition of teams led by the campaign’s “advocates and assistant advocates” and led by “coaches.”

The Strategic Development team guides the coalition’s work by testing policies and approaches while listening closely to community feedback through industry teams.

Deep community involvement and ownership of possible solutions are essential to the success of the Campaign.

A press conference on Tuesday, November 19 will provide details on how and when community members will be able to interact with All Hands on Deck.
