Jamie Carragher mocked Liverpool’s title rivals after Arne Slote’s men came from behind to beat Brighton 2-1. Enfield. The Seagulls took an early lead against Merseyside thanks to Ferdi Kadıoğlu’s opening goal of the first half.

Carragher, however, could not resist making a cheeky jibe at both Arsenal and City. On X, he posted a video of himself saying, “What a game day it was!”


Following Nottingham Forest’s win over West Ham, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side also leapfrogged Arsenal into third place in the table, bringing further misery to the Gunners. Arne Slot continues to earn plenty of plaudits and his astute man-management continues to be an impressive aspect of his time at Anfield.

“Today, changes were made in Slot. Completely changed the game,” one fan wrote on social media after the victory. “Slot made these substitutions 100% right, more mental than I’ve ever seen from a manager,” said another.
