Masked robbers shoot at a liquor store employee in Zirakpur

Four masked men shot at a liquor shop employee and fled with money and liquor bottles near Mamta Enclave Colony in Dhakoli area of ​​Zirakpur on Friday evening.

The robbers arrived on motorcycles around 11 pm and entered the liquor shop located on the busy Zirakpur-Shimla highway, brandishing pistols.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers held store employees at gunpoint, demanding money and valuables.

During the disturbance, the robbers fired two shots, one of which hit Deepak Sandhu, an employee of a small drinking area in the basement of the store. Taking cash and liquor bottles, the accused fled towards Panchkula.

Sandhu was rushed to PGIMER, Chandigarh, where he is undergoing treatment.

Dakoli police reached the scene and obtained CCTV footage from the liquor store and surrounding areas in the hope of identifying the robbers.

A case has been initiated against the robbers under relevant articles. Further investigation is ongoing.
