Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone shared the screen in Farah Khan’s 2014 film Happy New Year. The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah. Interestingly, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has also been offered a role in the film.

In an interview, she said that she rejected the offer because she and her husband were not chosen. Speaking to NDTV, Aishwarya Rai said, “Yes, I was offered the film and it actually seemed like quite a fun journey. I knew we would have a lot of fun doing it and it would be a fun experience.” She added: “They wouldn’t put us against each other. That would be very, very strange, wouldn’t it? That’s why I had to refuse.”

According to The Times of India, responding to dating rumors with Abhishek Bachchan, Nimrat said, “I could do anything and people would still say what they want. It’s impossible to stop such gossip and I prefer to focus on my work.”

Nimrat’s clarification follows a viral post on Reddit that alleged Abhishek had an extramarital affair with her. Fans also criticized Abhishek for allegedly being unfaithful to his wife.
