D&K: Grenade explosion at ‘Sunday market’ in Srinagar injures 10 people; the search for intruders is underway

At least 10 people were injured after terrorists threw a grenade at a flea market near the Tourist Welcome Center in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on Sunday (November 3), India Today reported.

The explosion occurred amid a large crowd of shoppers gathered at the weekly Sunday Market. Security personnel and medical teams quickly arrived at the scene and treated the injured, who were then taken to a nearby hospital. A search operation is currently underway to establish the whereabouts of the attackers.

The incident followed the killing of a senior Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander by security forces in Srinagar’s Khanyar area just a day earlier, news agency PTI reported.
