Apple launches free iPhone 14 repair program

Apple launches free iPhone 14 repair program

Apple has announced a new free repair program for iPhone 14 Plus models that are experiencing issues with the rear camera. The flaw prevents the camera from displaying a preview while in use. This program applies to a small percentage of devices and eligibility is based on production dates from April 2023 to April 2024. If your device meets this criterion, you may qualify for a free repair. Customers who have already paid for camera repairs can apply for a refund from Apple.

To check if your device is repairable, enter your serial number on the official Apple Repair Program page (Click here). Notably, in Israel, unlike other countries, customers must visit official Apple service centers in Israel, including DCS, iDigital Network and iStore, to benefit from this warranty.

Apple clarified that the repair program applies exclusively to iPhone 14 Plus models released within the specified time frame. It does not apply to iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro models. Additionally, this repair program is limited service designed specifically to correct a camera problem and does not extend the general warranty. This repair program is valid for three years from the date of purchase.

The iStore network said: “Official Apple service centers in Israel will provide eligible devices with repair services at network branches in accordance with Apple’s terms and conditions.”

The iDigital network added: “Our policies are the same as Apple’s and we will assist customers experiencing this specific issue.”
