Royal family live: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leave palace ‘troubled’ | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “smart move” to expand their property portfolio has raised eyebrows from a palace insider, who claims the firm is reportedly “concerned” about their financial future.

Since leaving royal duties in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received £75 million from Netflix for their shows, including docuseries Harry and Meghan, which made sensational claims about the couple’s personal lives and firm.

But reports say the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have invested some of that money in a new £3.6 million property at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club in Portugal, a resort dubbed the “Portuguese Hamptons”.

Speaking about expanding the real estate portfolio, the source said Sun: “They manage their money wisely.”

However, the publication also reported that Palace insiders were concerned about what would happen when the Sussexes ran out of money as the couple had “huge overheads” including paying security bills when Harry visited the UK.

Robert Jobson’s biography released earlier this year, Catherine, Princess of Wales, suggests King Charles harbors concerns about Harry’s financial stability.

A palace insider expressed concern to the author: “What worries His Majesty and his senior team,” says a palace spokesman, “is what will happen when all the money runs out.”
