US Election 2024: Donald Trump says he should not have left the White House after losing the 2020 election

Among him final push to secure maximum votes In key swing states in the November 5 US presidential election, Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump said on Sunday he believed he “shouldn’t have left” the White House after losing the 2020 election, which he didn’t admit it.

Speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump said: “The day I left, we had the most secure border in the history of our country. I shouldn’t have left. I mean, honestly, because we did it, we did so well.”

Trump claimed that he 2020 loss was the result of fraud. This inspired his supporters to storm the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

“…Now I mean, there are hundreds of lawyers in every voting booth,” Trump continued.

Since Joe Biden’s 2020 victory, Trump has reportedly repeatedly told aides he will remain in the White House, refusing to allow his Democratic successor to take over.

Numerous reports suggest Trump could claim a premature victory on Election Day, as he did in 2020. In an interview with ABC News on Sunday, the Republican nominee said he expects the winner of the presidential election to be declared on Election Day, although an official announcement typically takes weeks.

When asked when he planned to address the country on Election Day, Trump replied, “I’ll be there at the right time.” He previously told reporters he hoped to declare victory on November 5.

But Democrats said they were preparing to counter any claims by Trump of a premature victory. Harris said they plan to respond quickly, flooding social media and the airwaves with calls for calm and patience.

“Unfortunately, we are prepared if he does, and if we know that he is in fact manipulating the press and trying to manipulate the consensus of the American people … we are ready to respond,” Harris said in an interview with ABC last week.

Donald Trump is in a razor-thin battle with Kamala Harris in the November 5 election. Experts believe it could take several days for the final result to become known, especially if calls for recounts emerge in key areas.
