It’s raining in Dubai: residents are urged to take safety measures against power outages – News

Dubai residents have been urged to take precautions ahead of the monsoon season to ensure uninterrupted power supply, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority said in a statement on Monday.

Customers have been asked to take preventive measures to avoid any disruptions or internal disruptions and ensure safe and uninterrupted power supply.

Authorities advised residents to ensure their safety by taking the following measures:

  • Authorities have stressed the importance of hiring a qualified electrician to carry out regular maintenance.
  • Ensure that all external electrical connections, panels and meter boxes are watertight and properly insulated.
  • Consumers were also urged to securely cover electrical panels and replace the glass cover of the electricity meter if it is broken.
  • Customers should also seal all openings in roof electrical wiring and check grounding cables to ensure a stable and safe power supply.
