OCTA offers free OC bus rides on Election Day

OCTA offers free OC bus rides on Election Day

Recognizing the importance of helping voters access the polls safely and conveniently, all scheduled bus services will be free starting November 5th.

ORANGE — The Orange County Transportation Authority wants to make it easier for everyone to get out and vote.

This means that OC bus rides will be free all day on Election Day – Tuesday, November 5th.

On this day, passengers can ride any regular OC bus for free to any polling station or destination. No pass required.

“Voting is what keeps our democracy strong and ensures that our communities have a say in how they are represented locally, regionally and beyond,” said OCTA Chairman Tam T. Nguyen. “OCTA is committed to making sure people can get to their polling place safely and comfortably.”

OCTA offers several days of free bus travel every year, including every New Year’s Eve. Tens of thousands of passengers took advantage of free travel on these special days. And young people from 6 to 18 years old always travel

now free with the Youth Ride Free pass.

On Election Day, OC bus riders can find more information about the location of the nearest polling station, as well as more information about free rides and how to plan a bus ride, at www.octa.net/vote.
