DeMarcus Robinson’s catches and Kamren Kinchens’ picks sink Seattle

Rams defeated Seattle Seahawks26-20, Sunday at Lumen Field in Seattle.

What we learned from the win, which improved the Rams’ record to 4-4:

The offense lacked punch, but not Puka Nacua.

The concern before the game was that the star receiver Puka NacuaThe injured right knee may not survive.

Nacua was ejected However, from the game in the second quarter for hitting Seahawks linebacker Tyrell Dodson after cornerback Rick Woolen intercepted a pass. Nacua watched the rest of the game on a screen in the locker room.

“Just a learning experience,” said Nacua, who caught one pass for 11 yards. “Because I’m very competitive between the lines, some things were said earlier in the game, I just let my emotions get the better of me and reacted instead of responding.”

Coach Sean McVay said he told Nacua “we’re smarter than that.” And he referenced former Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald.

“One of the best things about him is his emotion and the fact that he loves to compete with his teammates and do whatever he can to contribute,” McVay said of Nacua, “and also understands how important it is to have what AD Before this was called controlled aggression. So he’ll learn from it.”

Quarterback Matthew Stafford said he’s not worried about Nacua.

“Sometimes our emotions get the best of us, but I have complete trust and confidence in his ability to respond and understand that this is something we can’t do,” Stafford said. “And as hard as it is sometimes, you have to walk away from these things.

“You have to do it, and I have no problem with the way he will move forward.”

Camren Kinchens – playmaker

Rookie safety Camren Kinchens intercepted two passes, returning the first 103 yards for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter to give the Rams a 20-13 lead.

A few years ago, Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf hit Arizona Cardinals cornerback Budda Baker after an interception. Metcalf did not play Sunday due to a knee injury.

Kinchens was pleased.

“They didn’t have DK on the field,” Kinchens said, “so I didn’t have to worry about him hitting me.”

About three minutes later, Kinchen picked off another pass from Geno Smith at the Rams’ seven-yard line.

Kinchens said Hall of Famer Ed Reed gave him advice when Kinchens played at the University of Miami.

“Ed Reed in Miami always told me, ‘If you catch one, it’s not illegal to catch another,'” Kinchens said. “So I try to go out there and catch as many as I can.”

Demarcus Robinson continues to produce

Rams wide receiver DeMarcus Robinson caught six passes for 94 yards, including a one-yard pass in the third quarter and a 39-yard touchdown to win the game.

Robinson, a ninth-year pro, has scored five touchdowns in his last four games, including two against the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 24 and two against the Seahawks.

Robinson’s best performance the previous season was four touchdown catches.

“Just honing in on the details,” Robinson said. “Just trying to win the game and help the team win.”

Defense produces bags

Rams earned a season-high seven sacks.

Rookie lineman Braden Fiske had two, while edge rushers Jared Wehrs, Byron Young, lineman Kobe Turner and defensive end Quentin Lake each had one.

Edge rusher Michael Hocht and rookie Tyler Davis shared a sack.
