Diljit Dosanjh opens up about fake ticket scam at his Dil-Luminati concert: I apologize to those affected

Diljit Dosanjh expressed sorrow for those who were affected by the fake ticket scam during his concert in Delhi. Dosanjh is touring India with his Dil-Luminati Tour and his first stop was Delhi just a few days before Diwali. The Punjabi singer performed at a packed stadium in Delhi for two days and made the audience swoon with his wit, charm and electrifying songs. However, some were unable to attend the concert due to counterfeit tickets sold to them.

Speaking in Jaipur on Saturday, Diljit expressed grief to the victims and said neither he nor his team was responsible for the ticket fiasco.
Taking the stage at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC), Diljit took the opportunity to address this issue and addressed the audience directly. “If anyone has been harmed by ticket fraud, I apologize,” he said sincerely, before clarifying: “We are not responsible for this. The authorities are studying this issue.”

Jaipur was the third stop on the Indian leg of his tour, following back-to-back Delhi dates marred by reports of ticket fraud.

Diljit even urged fans to be more careful and buy tickets only from official sellers and ticketing platforms.

The singer also added that his team was not previously aware of the problem. “Our tickets sold out so quickly that even we didn’t know it,” he said.

Diljit Dosanjh concert ticket scam

Last week, Diljit performed for two days at the packed Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. Several fans complained that they were duped with fake concert tickets and were unable to attend the concert despite paying a hefty sum.

The tour organizers have warned fans not to buy tickets from anywhere other than the official seller ZomatoLive. Similar warnings were issued to concertgoers by the Jaipur police ahead of the concerts in Jaipur.
