Leaks suggest Fortnite Chapter 6 map has a Japanese theme

FortniteThe all-new era of Chapter 6, which begins in December, will live on a new battle royale island themed around Japan.

That’s according to ongoing leaks reported by some of the game’s most reliable tipsters and concept art of new Fortnite characters that have been released since earlier this year.

You can see some of these character images above, which harken back to a slew of character concepts released by Epic Games this spring, all of which are apparently based on Japanese or Asian designs. Samurai and shinobi are of course present, along with fan favorite Fishstick’s koi inspired cousin.

Fortnite has been leaking regularly over the past week. Shiina And Wensoing both reported that the game’s Chapter 6 Japanese theme is now beyond reasonable doubt, apparently based on in-game files found in the new Chapter 2 Remix Update. This includes the game’s Chapter 6 skybox, which can be seen in the bottom tweet below:

Meanwhile, fans believe the game currently has a loading screen below showing a teaser of the Japanese environment in the top left corner – note the large red circle and flower petals floating on the surface of the water.

The previous Fortnite map, introduced earlier this year during Chapter 5, was based on Ancient Greece. Throughout 2024, they featured here the appearance of a mysterious stone handthe appearance of the Underworld and Mount Olympus, as well as the antics of various Greek gods interacting with almighty version of Pandora’s Box.

The next era of Fortnite will begin in December, but not before another live event pushing the game forward first and foremost.
