CIIE volunteers are nicknamed “leafs” after the National Exhibition and Convention Center, CIIE’s venue, which is shaped like a clover.

As a second-year student, Elaine Lin from Hong Kong is responsible for site consultation and guidance. After a series of preparatory classes before entering CIIE, she is both nervous and excited to be working at CIIE again, which makes her honored.

“Last year’s CIIE trip was my first trip to Shanghai, and through this event, I saw the rapid development of Shanghai,” she said.

Because of her experiences last year, she hopes to face CIIE more prepared and become more involved as a volunteer.
