There’s an election night event for everyone, from those who will watch the results every second to those who prefer to distract themselves with food or games. Here are 30 events happening in the Chicago area.

Election Day on Sidetrack

3:00 pm at 3349 N Halsted St. Election coverage will be starts on some TVs at 15:00 but grab most of the bar by 7 p.m., when the Main/Cherry/North bars host their regular OUTspoken: LGBTQ+ Storytelling event.

Night Watch Party “Power of Vote”

5:00 pm at 4420 South Cottage Grove Avenue. Booking can be made for an election night party with food and cocktails.

Strange Election Night Watch Party

5:00 p.m., 6840 32nd Street. The family-friendly event, hosted by Sapphic Before Sunset, will feature drinks, NA specials and a food truck. Tickets free.

Election Night in “Nobody’s Favorite”

5:00 p.m. at 1744 W. Balmoral Ave. Nothing’s Darling will be offering 25% off all tabs with vote confirmation.

Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community “Evening of Crafts, Meditation and Tea”

5:00 pm at 211 W 23rd St. The free event, presented in partnership with Life Is Tea, will feature crafts, meditation and tea as a way to unwind on election night.

Election Night at the Famous Wilma’s BBQ & Tavern

5:30 p.m., 17 North Wabash Ave., 2nd floor. For free reservations can be made for this election night party.

Election Night Watch Party at County Breweries

6:00 p.m. at 417 N. Ashland Ave. This event will feature a BBQ buffet from Lillie’s Q for 20 USD per person. $5 of each ticket and 10% of all beer purchases benefit Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly.

Chicago City Club Election Night Watch Party

6:00 p.m. at the Chicago Fire Department Blue Room, 1401 S. Michigan Ave. Tickets per event—with guests Anna Caprara, Greg Hart, Christian Perry and Paris Schutz—is $150 for non-members and $100 for members, and the event will feature heavy appetizers and cocktails.

Election Night at the Empty Bottle

6:00 pm at 1035 N Western Ave. This free event — with additional donations at the door of the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund — there will be DJs playing and live coverage on TVs.

7 p.m., Bronzeville Soul, 4655 South Doctor Martin Luther King Junior Drive. This event for free for everyone, including those who are not members of the sorority of which Kamala Harris is a member.

Monica Gordon Election Night Watch Party

7:00 p.m. at 124 S. 5th Ave., Maywood. Organizers were former Cook County Commissioner and now acting County Clerk, as well as SEIU 73, Maywood Together Party, Broadview People’s Party and Bellwood First Party. for free The event will serve as both an election watch party and a time to honor the memory of the late Karen Yarbrough.

Evanston Democratic Party Election Party with Jan Schakowsky

Chicago playwrights open the mic and watch the party
