Taylor Strecker recalls interview with ‘nightmare’ Giuliana Rancic

Taylor Strecker will never forget his “traumatic” interview with Giuliana and Bill Rancic.

“Giuliana Rancic was a nightmare,” said “A Taste of Taylor” host told Page Six exclusively at the Dear Media IRL event at Center415 in New York City on Saturday.

Strecker, who has been interviewing celebrities for more than a decade on her podcast and previous radio show, explained that she only chatted with Giuliana “as a favor” to someone on her team who wanted to do a fashion segment with the former E! News” presenter.

The 41-year-old SiriusXM host knew her Q&A with Juliana, 50, and Bill, 53, “wasn’t even going to air,” so she admittedly “didn’t prepare” as well as she usually would.

“It’s not going to go away, so I don’t think it’s really fair to her,” she said.

However, Strecker said that when the “Juliana and Bill” stars came to the studio, they had disagreements.

“You know when a couple is fighting and you are in the middle of it? This is what happened,” she told us. “I was in the middle of a hornet’s nest.”

The online personality explained that the Rancicis are “clearly not in a bad place” in their marriage, but simply “like any couple who fights.”

“She almost used me to attack him,” she alleged. “It was the most awkward podcast ever, and then she went and complained about me in other interviews she did for the rest of the day, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, Juliana, you’re obsessed with me!’ ‘It was traumatic to say the least.”

Strecker did not say when the interview took place, and a rep for Juliana and Bill did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Although the podcaster had bad experiences with the couple, she was thrilled to speak with Taylor Swift when the singer was “completely new to the country scene.”

“Nobody told me I was interviewing her,” she told Page Six. “I had no reference point for her, and she knew it. She knew I had no idea who she was, but she held me during the interview. She was so sweet!”

Strecker gushed that Swift, now 34, signed a photo for her that read, “Taylor who looks like Natalie Portman, from another Taylor.”

“By far the best interview ever, and I don’t even remember it!” she said, laughing.

Podcasting is something like all the ships appearing at the same time; it’s a very community, sorority atmosphere, and I love that. It’s so sincere and it’s not bullshit.
