Flathead Valley Community College Receives Grant

Flathead Valley Community College announces that vocational students enrolled in classes this semester will receive free tools paid for by the grant.

This year, the Metallica Scholars Initiative selected a community college to participate in its workforce training program.

The initiative is supported by a $75,000 grant to support professional students.

After attempting to determine what students needed most to succeed, school officials say they decided to use the funds to pay for tools students can use in their classrooms to help them achieve their educational goals.

Tools will be distributed to students on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

The Metallica Fellows Initiative selected only 18 schools across the country to participate in the program in 2024, and Flathead Valley Community College was the only school in Montana to be selected to participate.

MSI is committed to offering a variety of employment opportunities for students interested in acquiring the skills and training needed to find a well-paying career.
