Pakistani YouTuber Dhaki Bhai, wife arrested after posting video; netizens react

Pakistani influencer Saad Ur Rehman, popularly known as Dhaki Bhai, is back in the news. Lahore police arrested a YouTuber and his wife Arub Jatoi after they showed off weapons online.

Dhaki Bhai, who has over 8.19 million subscribers on YouTube, has become embroiled in trouble after his wife allegedly showed off a firearm on her Instagram account.

Aruba Jatoi has a large fan base and around 2.3 million followers on Instagram. According to a report by Samaa TV on October 8, it was revealed that the couple had raised anti-government slogans and supported Imran Khan’s political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The incident prompted action lawsuit against the duo as displaying firearms on social media is illegal. The Model City Organized Crime Squad arrested the two, citing a threat to public safety.

The Express Tribune daily reported that both Dhaki Bhai and Arub gave written apologies to authorities after their arrest and were released without any charges. It is noteworthy that social media sensation refrained from making public comments about the situation.

Netizens reacted strongly to this development as one user said, “Imran Khan ka top 5 favorite personalities naam laziness, Punjab govt not arresting Kr Lia.”

Another user noted: “Qaidi reason #804.” Prisoner Identification Number 804 was assigned to Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, making it the legendary “Qaidi Number 804”.

A third user said, “So in his latest interview he said that his favorite personality is Imran Khan. That’s what happened.” A fourth user wrote: “Imran khan ko idol man liya bas yehi jurm tha uska.” A fifth user asked: “Against the law??? What is the law here?

This episode comes after Aruba’s deepfake video went viral. The couple made headlines by offering one million Pakistani rupees to informants who identify the culprit.
