Local transit services and ride-sharing companies are offering special deals to voters heading to the polls on Tuesday.

Ride sharing companies Elevator and Uber are offering discounted rides to voters, and Hertz is offering car rentals in case you need temporary wheels to vote.

The general election will take place on Tuesday, November 5th. Polls will be open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and you can vote if you get in line at 6:00 pm. according to the Kentucky State Board of Elections.

Lyft’s Election Day 2024 Proposal.

Get 50% off your trip to the polls on Tuesday. Use code VOTE24 no later than Tuesday at Lyft app. The code is valid from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm local time (save up to $10) and can be used on bike sharing, bike sharing, or scooter rides.

Uber’s Election Day 2024 Proposal

Get 50% off your ride to the polls (up to $10 off); simply click on the “Go to Vote” tile in the Uber app.

Hertz deal on Election Day 2024

Need a car to get to the polling station? Get one day of rental free, including Election Day, when you rent a car for a minimum of two days.

TARC deal on Election Day 2024

The River City Transportation Authority and TARC3 will offer free rides Tuesday for people heading to and from the polls on Election Day.

“TARC will continue its standard operations on all fixed routes through General Election Day,” the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office and TARC said in a statement. “Passengers can bypass the ticket counter and choose any route to get to the polling station or any other destination.”
