Paul is in the prime of his life at 27 and has been active in the sport for the past five years, while Tyson, 58, has not fought since 2020.

That night he went the distance with a boxing legend. Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout, although his upcoming fight with Paul was sanctioned as a professional heavyweight bout.

Tyson hasn’t boxed on the pay circuit since retiring against Kevin McBride 19 years ago and looked a shadow of his former self during his final bow.

Given the odds stacked against the boxing legend, most believe Paul is the clear winner.

However, Lewis, who knocked out Tyson in 2002, believes his old foe still has the strength to beat Paul, despite admitting how hard the fight will be on his body.

It’s hard to box when you’re that old, moving around the ring, throwing punches, getting punched, but I think he can handle it,” Lewis said. Sky Sport.

“I thought Jake Paul was going to be in trouble because Mike Tyson knows how to throw great body shots, great head shots.

“We’ll just have to see if he’s going to do it in the ring – I hope he does.

“(I expect to see) Mike Tyson just come off the ring and throw punches to the body and head when he can catch Jake Paul.

“I’m sure Jake Paul will move quickly, move around the ring.

“He won’t want to stand there and get hit by Mike Tyson!

“I’ll be there and it will be exciting.”

Lewis’ assessment of how both men will approach the competition appears to be correct.

Throughout the fight, Tyson stated his intention to “go through Paul.”

Meanwhile, Problem Child strives for a more measured approach.

“(The game plan is) just box on the outside and then use my footwork to be more agile and get him to chase me and then attack him when he’s out of position. That must upset him,” Paul said. Hollywood Reporter.
