Loyal Sunrise fans are speculating that long-time co-host Natalie Barr is preparing to retire.

Barr, 56, currently reports in Washington DC is in the presidential election, and reporter Monique Wright will guest anchor along with Matt Shirvington.

And when Monique replaces Natalie in the Channel Seven breakfast show studio in Sydney, viewers speculate that Natalie could be retiring.

“Monique is so gorgeous, I love how often they use her on the weekday shows,” one fan gushed. Media spy.

However, one dedicated Sunrise enthusiast has denied these rumors.

“I don’t think Nat will retire anytime soon,” they wrote.

“Sunrise is simply doing what they’ve always done – building a strong team so that presenters can get in and out easily without missing a beat.

“While I think Mon is great, I personally think she’s happier on the weekends and just fills in where needed.

The user then weighed in on which replacement they would prefer if Nat ever retired.

“I think the replacement will eventually come in the form of someone younger like Sarah Greenhalgh or Teagan Dolling (in the future, of course),” they added.

It comes after Natalie had an awkward moment with Joe Biden ahead of the US election.

She was in White House on Tuesday when Marine One – the helicopter carrying the president – landed on the South Lawn.

As Biden walked out of Marine One and into the Oval Office, Nath tried to ask the president if he regretted calling Trump supporters “trash.”

President Biden ignored the question, which Nat claimed he would have heard because she was “pretty loud.”

“He (President Biden) kind of had his head down, looking away from us,” Nath said.

“Other reporters also asked questions, but mine was quite loud. He simply lowered his head and walked towards the Oval. “Ignored me,” Nat said.

Co-hosts Monique and Matt laughed at how Nat’s hair went wild when the presidential helicopter landed.

– Okay, it’s really windy. We really are that close, the President is over there somewhere,” Nat laughed.

“This is as close as you can get to the President of the United States. Joe Biden. Right here.

Monique and Matt joked that President Biden ignored Nat because he was watching her when she was nearly blown out of a helicopter.

Despite the wind, the Sunrise presenter called the experience “one of the most exciting moments” of her life.

“Cam, the cameraman and I were there and I couldn’t believe I was there,” Nat said.

“They let you in, all the cool journalists who are always here.” For them, it’s like another day at the office. I was shaking with excitement.

“You saw it in the movies, on the news, in reports all over the world, and I thought, ‘Wow, I’m here!’ My wig almost fell out. It was a minor disaster, but I was there.”
