The Titans added four players to their practice squad.

To the surprise of many observers, the Tennessee Titans made no further moves at the deadline. This is an interesting development after they appeared to be on sale just two weeks ago.

Although no deals were made, the team was active, completing several minor trades throughout the day. The Titans added tight end Thomas Odukoya, safety Gervarrius Owens, safety Daryl Worley and cornerback Cole Spencer to the practice squad.

It’s no secret that the Titans suck, especially in the secondary and offensive line. Starting cornerback L’Jarius Sneed has missed the last three games, and they lost starting safety Quandre Diggs for the season against the New England Patriots. On the offensive line, the team lost backup Andrew Rupcic and starter Lloyd Cushenberry in consecutive weeks to injured reserve, and starting guard Dillon Radunz missed the last game with an injury.

While Odukoya and Spencer are familiar faces, the addition of Owens and Worley is new. Owens was originally drafted in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. He appeared in three games during his career, recording one tackle and one fumble recovery. He was released from the Giants’ practice squad in October.

Worley is well-traveled and will add some high school experience at 29 years old. Drafted in the third round in 2016 by the Carolina Panthers, the Titans will be the 10th team he has played for during his NFL career.

The Titans will likely face several roster changes in the coming days as they place Cushenberry and Diggs on injured reserve. The team will return to practice on Wednesday to begin preparations for their Week 10 showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers.
