Delhi High Court asks CCI and Swiggy to respond to NRAI petition seeking exemption from circle of confidentiality

In 2021, NRAI filed a report with the CCI alleging anti-competitive behavior by Swiggy and Zomato. In an order passed in 2022, the CCI opined that at first glance A case was registered against Swiggy and Zomato. Therefore, he directed the Director General to investigate the allegations leveled by NRAI.

As part of this investigation, Swiggy is alleged to have provided highly confidential information in response to questions from the CEO between September 2022 and October 2023.

In March of this year, it became known that the CEO had completed the investigation.

Swiggy and Zomato later applied for access to a confidential version of the CEO’s findings so that they could better respond to the CEO’s findings against them. Meanwhile, NRAI also sought access to a confidential version of the investigation report related to both Swiggy and Zomato.

Swiggy is expected to make its market debut on November 13 and will raise over ₹11,000 crore.
