Once the first modern amusement garden in China, Zhangyuan enchanted visitors with roller coasters, water rides, fireworks and circus shows in the early 20th century. However, over time, the charm of the garden disappeared and the area was turned into private residences, which eventually fell into disrepair.

Zhangyuan is now experiencing an amazing renaissance. The historic site has transformed into a vibrant cultural and commercial center, and the Jing’an Great Hall exhibition offers a glimpse into its storied past while highlighting the city’s renewal.

At the opening ceremony on Wednesday, Zhai Lei, director of Jing’an, said Jing’an Great Hall will become a platform for global dialogue and cooperation, promoting innovation and creating new opportunities for international partnerships.

Later, the exhibition was visited by heads of transnational companies, including SAP and Siemens.

The 300-square-meter Jing’an Great Hall reflects the architectural charm of Zhangyuan and showcases a wide range of brands, from international brands such as EviDenS, Birkenstock and Amouage, which have stores in Zhangyuan, to time-honored Chinese brands. brands such as Longfeng cheongsam, Bai Youlan silk and Jingdezhen porcelain.

French brands such as Saber Paris, Bernardaud and New Angance are also on display in preparation for the upcoming French Lifestyle Expo in Zhangyuan, which runs from November 27 to December 1. The event, marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, will be the first to showcase French brands at joint exhibitions and sales in Zhangyuan.

CIIE plans to host a series of forums and discussions with industry experts, academics and opinion leaders, providing an opportunity for global dialogue.

Visitors to the Jing’an Great Hall can experience the exhibition through interactive activities such as coloring Zhangyuan-themed postcards and enjoying intricate latte art.
