Americans won’t like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix show, royal expert says

Prince Harry And Meghan MarkleNetflix’s upcoming projects could face problems if they don’t move away from the royal family’s attention, according to royal expert Phil Dampier.

Talking about SunOn the Royal Exclusive programme, Dampier commented on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new documentary themes, including a polo series and a cooking show. “Making documentaries has never gone well for the royals, especially Prince Edward when he started making a lot of documentaries about his own family. It ended in disaster,” Dampier said. Sun.

“Harry…needs to get a grip and hopefully we won’t get any more abuse of the royal family in his documentaries and he’ll move on to other things.”

Just a few months ago, in September, Netflix announced that the upcoming Harry docuseries would “follow the world’s elite players and offer an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced world of sports.”

However, Dampier noted: “I don’t think Polo went that well.”

“Obviously, everyone (is unhappy) because there is almost nothing of the prince in this,” Dampier noted.

Megan’s cooking show coming soon

The Duchess’s cooking show is reportedly in post-production, although a release date has not yet been set. This will be her second major project with Netflix, following her 2022 Harry and Meghan docuseries, which offered a behind-the-scenes look at their lives. In the new show, Meghan is expected to “cook up some of her favorite pasta dishes… and pour in some of her favorite red wine and this and that and that,” Dampier added.

The Sun’s other royal editor, Matt Wilkinson, said: “Showcasing the wonderful lifestyle you lead in California, cooking and going to polo, compared to two hard-working royals meeting victims of domestic abuse and meeting people… living on the street. …the contrast is striking.”

Dampier echoed this sentiment, saying: “The contrast is they’re trying to make money from it rather than doing good deeds, but that’s where we are, isn’t it, unfortunately.”
