Raleigh police are investigating six reports of vehicle shootings on I-40.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WRAL) — A shooting on Interstate 40 in Wake County has drivers and Raleigh police concerned.

Multiple vehicles came under fire Wednesday morning on Interstate 40 near Chapel Hill Road, days after similar reports of vehicles being shot at Monday.

Calls are originating from a portion of I-40 in Raleigh and Cary from Chapel Hill Road to Gorman Street and Buck Jones Road.

No one was injured Wednesday in the incidents around 4:58 a.m., police said. Another car was shot before 6:30 a.m. on I-40 near Gorman Street..

At the press conference, the officer said there were six shooting incidents in total (two on Monday, four on Wednesday). The incidents are related. There is no suspect.
