KYTC: Concrete repairs on I-24 in Christian County scheduled for Monday | News

MADISONVILLE, KY. A Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contractor will cap the westbound lane of Interstate 24 at mile marker 91 in Christian County for a specific rehabilitation project. The project will begin on Monday, November 11 and is expected to last two weeks, weather permitting.

Lane restrictions will begin a mile west of the Kentucky Welcome Center in Oak Grove, according to the cabinet. Crews will limit traffic to one lane during the work.

Section of road was closed at the end of Septemberwhen heavy rainfall from Hurricane Helen caused the concrete pavement to fail.

According to KYTC, work zones and lane restrictions will be shifted west as the work is completed. The project will end at mile marker 83, three miles west of Exit 86/US 41.
