Jay Leno called the results of the 2024 presidential election “honest” and “fair”

Jay Leno not a fan Donald Trumpbut overall he has positive things to say about Election Day.

former Today’s show the host appeared on Wednesday’s episode CBS‘daytime show’ Talkwhere did he say November 5 presidential election results marked “a great day for democracy.”

“There was no fraud; everyone said it was fair,” he said.

Talk co-host Natalie Morales also asked Leno what he remembers from the time he hosted an episode of his late-night talk show the day after a big election.

“Things were different in my time,” he said. “You kind of laughed at both sides.” He continued: “So you have received hate mail from both sides. Now you kind of have to take sides. It’s a little different, but the best thing about this election is that it was fair. I wasn’t a fan, but that’s ok. This is the President of the United States. Let’s all get together, thank you very much.”

Leno added Talk that he fears there will be “name-calling” and other controversies after the Nov. 5 election, in which Trump was elected president-elect by defeating the Democratic nominee. Kamala Harris.
