Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 coming sooner than expected with thinner design and improved battery life

According to information provided by a tipster, the successor to the first-generation ring-shaped health and fitness tracker could be released earlier than Samsung previously planned. It is also reported that the rumored Galaxy Ring 2 will have a thinner design and will improve battery life, as well as introduce new features. Meanwhile, Apple is also expected to work on new smart wearable devices.

Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 will release earlier than expected

According to mail User @yeux1122 (in Korean) on Naver, Samsung is looking to release the successor to the first-generation Galaxy Ring “sooner than originally planned.” While this is a vague statement, we can assume this means Samsung could release the wearable device in 2025 – if the company had previously planned for a later release schedule. If the company was already looking at a 2025 launch window, then it could appear as early as the Galaxy S25 series, which is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2025.

In addition to the early launch schedule suggested by a tipster who has a good track record of leaks related to future Samsung products, the purported Galaxy Ring 2 will feature a slimmer design. The first-generation model is available in nine sizes from 5 to 13: the size five version weighs 2.3g and is 7.0mm wide, while the size 13 weighs 3g.
