AEW Makes Game Rules Changes for Fans in the Arena in 2025

Fans attending AEW live events in 2025 will see a different presentation inside the venue during commercial breaks when matches are not taking place.

According to AEW Executive Vice President and Head of Global Production Mike Mansouri. in a technical trade publicationthe company will shift to a more “sporty style” during commercial breaks when matches are not being played to entertain fans in attendance.

“Starting in 2025, you will see more sports-style presentations in the arena in terms of the ability to entertain audiences when there is no in-ring or taped content happening as part of the televised broadcast. We want to create a nice separation between the live broadcast and the TV show, just to make the experience more special for those at home,” he said.

What are the details and their start date have not yet been announced. Currently, the ring announcer talks to the crowd at night to pass the time during breaks when nothing is happening in the ring.

The article highlights the company’s investment in new truck manufacturing technologies that will benefit not only overall production, but also elements of production in the arena. They used the technology for three months to troubleshoot problems with the goal of ensuring a smooth experience for those watching at home, even if problems occur behind the scenes.

Mansouri also said that some details need to be worked out regarding the upcoming simulcast between streaming service Max and TBS/TNT when it comes to Dynamite and Collision, as AEW is currently producing domestic and international broadcasts. One of those details is how WBD wants to use these channels with its own content.

He also said up to 20 to 25 cameras of all types could be deployed at All In from Arlington, Texas, Globe Life Field this July, putting the new technology to the full test.
