Big Lots closes last Clark County store; it opened 5 years ago in the former Orchards Safeway location.

BigLots is closing its last Clark County location, the company announced in a recent release. filing a lawsuit.

There is no closing date for the Orchards store at 11696 NE 76th St. which opened in 2019 after Safeway moved outanchors a shopping center that includes a Dollar Tree and several small businesses.

Earlier this year, the Ohio-based retailer closed its east Vancouver location next to the New Seasons store in Fishers Landing.

Another large lot was previously located in the Vancouver Village Shopping Center near Vancouver Mall, but closed in 2012.

Biglots joins a growing number of national shuttering brands in Clark County. dollar tree and Party City closed stores in East Vancouver earlier this year, while brands such as The Body Shop and Bed Bath and Beyond have closed all stores nationwide.

Applications for large lots have been submitted Chapter 11.
