Will the Jaguars face a buzzsaw for the third week in a row?

The Jacksonville Jaguars started the season 0-4 and are now 2-7. They’ve suffered narrow losses to two of the best teams in the National Football League over the past two weeks. This Sunday they will enjoy playing the Minnesota Vikings, another one of the best teams in the league.

The Vikings are 6-2 with one of their two losses coming to the 7-1 Detroit Lions. The Vikings are statistically superior to the Jaguars in the most important categories. Although the Jaguars are at home on Sunday, they still face an uphill battle.

Bill Bender of Sporting News recently released his predictions for this weekend’s games. He believes the Jaguars will be in control before losing by a touchdown. That’s consistent with how the Jaguars have played the last four weeks.

The Jaguars have a tough game ahead of them. They faced the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles in back-to-back weeks.

They lost both games by eight points.

Bender predicts a 28-21 Vikings win.

“The Vikings snapped a two-game losing streak in Week 10, and Sam Darnold will look to continue his hot streak,” Bender said. “He’s averaging 263 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions in his last three games.

“He might make a couple mistakes on the road against the Jaguars, but this team continues to make too many mistakes. Jacksonville is 1-4 when they have at least two turnovers, and Minnesota should be able to make a few mistakes on the road.”

Although the Jaguars have played competitive football against some of the best teams over the past four weeks, they have still lost three of their previous four games. There is little reason to believe that they will have different results. against the formidable Viking team.

If the Jaguars hope to turn their season around, they will have to change the way they have operated through the first nine games. The Jaguars need to figure out what changes are needed to put an end to the poor performance they’ve shown this season, be it from the coaches or the players.
