Air Pros Surprises Marine Veteran with New AC Unit in Miramar Home – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

MIRAMAR, Florida. (WSVN) – A crew from an air conditioning company arrived at a home in Miramar to give a veteran a cool surprise.

7News cameras Thursday captured the Air Pros team telling the veteran the good news.

“So today we’re excited, it’s the eve of Veterans Day, so we’re here to surprise a veteran with a brand new AC unit,” said Air Pros spokeswoman Krystle Cunningham.

This is the third year the company has donated an entire unit to a veteran on the eve of Veterans Day. This year’s recipient is Anthony Guadamuza.

“I have a surprise. Air Pros, what do you think? We have an engineer coming today and we will install your device,” Cunningham said moments after Guadamuz opened the door.

“Oh my God, this is amazing. Thank you so much,” Guadamuz said.

Guadamus and his French bulldog Lola have been living without air conditioning for a long time.

“I bought this house in 2021 and have had several issues with it. I had a few guys come over and fix things,” Guadamuz said. “Not long ago the capacitor exploded.”

Anthony joined the Marine Corps in 2008. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“I served for about six years, did two tours, and we just went on a lot of missions trying to clear routes, find explosives, get them out of the way and keep our troops and communities safe,” he said.

He put his life on the line to keep others safe, something the Air Pros team believes deserves a new unit.

“We also have many military veterans who work for our company, and we are very excited about the opportunity to give back to the community and give back to someone who has served our country,” Cunningham said.

The new AC unit will save Guadamusa $15,000. He said it was very necessary because he now had to replace the roof of his house. The new air conditioner should start working Thursday evening.
