Billy Baldwin’s Wife China Phillips Reveals Why They Live in Separate Houses

Billy Baldwin and his wife China Phillips live life on their own terms.

The singer explained why they don’t live together while chatting with Baldwin via FaceTime. YouTube video posted on her channel on Sunday.

“We just need some time apart because we’re kind of allergic to each other,” Phillips said. “And that’s okay. I’m sure a lot of different couples are allergic to each other.”

Baldwin, 61, then chimed in and said it was actually his wife who preferred to be away from him, not the other way around.

Phillips lives in Santa Barbara, California, and Baldwin lives in Beverly Hills, and they sometimes “spank” in different places.

She said they still go to therapy, have dates and sleepovers.

Although they stay in touch, they “don’t force (themselves) to submit to each other’s energy 24/7.”

“I’m really glad I gave it a chance. … Billy is a little more reserved about the whole thing,” Phillips said.

The mother of three also explained that they “cherish” their 29-year marriage and have no plans to leave.

“I think we’re on to something. I really think so because we enjoy each other’s company,” she said.

“It’s so hard to explain to people that we’re madly in love,” the 56-year-old musician added.

However, Phillips, who tied the knot with Baldwin in 1995, admitted that she has less “patience” with her husband recently.

“You’ve noticed that my patience has run out over the last year and a half,” she told the actor. “For example, my threshold and your energy throughput have definitely decreased.”

Back in January, she also admitted to being married to Baldwin. it was “a real struggle.”

“I’ve been dating Billy for 32 years and we have an amazing marriage, but over the last couple of years we’ve definitely had the hardest years of our marriage. It was a real struggle,” Phillips said at the time.

The couple has three children: Brooke, 19, Vance, 23, and Jameson, 24.
