NBA fans react to news of Jamal Murray’s injury before the Nuggets’ match against the Heat

NBA fans react to news of Jamal Murray’s injury before the Nuggets’ match against the Heat

The Denver Nuggets were able to pull off a big win Wednesday night, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 124-122 to improve to 5-3 on the season. With Nuggets guard Jamal Murray missing the contest due to a concussion, news has just been released that has NBA fans sharing their reactions.

With the Nuggets set to face the 3-4 Miami Heat on Friday, DNVR Sports’ Harrison Wind reports that Murray could return to the lineup after missing the last three games and is listed as questionable.

Taking his place was nine-time All-Star Russell Westbrook, who averaged 18.3 points and 6.3 assists as the starter. Westbrook had a season-high 29 points in Denver’s win over Oklahoma City.

NBA fans reacted to this injury news.

Via @Sportsfanbobby: “No, get some rest bro, we need you in the 4th quarter of Game 6 in June.”

Via @Hoggin303: “I hope he comes back and realizes his role is not to try to be Ant Edwards or Devin Booker. Just sign in and contribute.”

Via @MileHighAVEN: “Give him one more game I guess”

Via @stackpapeorstfu: “Murray should sit until Memphis game in my opinion.”

Via @AFC_Gambino: “Can’t wait to see Murray (and AG) back healthy, but I’m really enjoying watching CB, Watson and Strawther play crucial minutes with the Joker.”

Judging by the reaction, fans don’t seem to want Murray to rush back and make sure he’s healthy for the season. Murray has played just 124 regular-season games over the past three seasons, missing the entire 2021-22 season due to injury. With the Miami Heat struggling to start the season, it appears fans aren’t willing to rush the guard just yet.
