Commerce Minister Pichai Nariptafan led a star delegation to the noisy 7th China International Import Exhibition (CIIE), held from November 4 to 6 at the large National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Thailand has taken center stage, flaunting its rich soft power in a bold attempt to wow the international public.

With its triumphant opening, Pichai opened the Thailand Pavilion, designed to boost the country’s global image and showcase its vibrant culture. This year, the Department for the Promotion of International Trade went all out, housing 20 Thai enterprises in a huge area of ​​250 square meters. Their showcase showcased Thailand’s best in food, lifestyle, fashion and creative services.

The extravaganza involved 172 countries and regions in a dazzling dance of trade, with 3,600 exhibitors taking part. Among them, 80 Thai participants proudly displayed the nation’s soft power skills, from tantalizing treats and exciting films to the mesmerizing martial art of Muay Thai.

Thanks to brilliant collaboration, various partner agencies set up shop at the exhibition. The Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce stood out by introducing Thai favorites such as Mama instant noodles, S. Khonkaen Foods Plc gourmet delicacies and Chabaa refreshing fruit juices, reports the Bangkok Post.

Notably, seven ministries’ trade promotion offices across China have joined forces with 37 Thai Select restaurants in major cities, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, with the dual aim of enticing taste buds and promoting the blockbuster film. How to make millions before your grandmother dies.

The economic dance between Thailand and China is fueled by electrification projects that are forging bilateral ties. China’s role as Thailand’s largest trading partner is clear, as seen in modern sectors such as electric vehicles, infrastructure and the digital economy, Pichai said.

“These bold ventures herald a new era of economic partnership, ushering in a golden age of growth in the ‘Golden Year of Friendship’ in 2025 as we celebrate 50 years of diplomatic harmony between Thailand and China.”
